Dr. Peter Gloersen is a physician with twenty-seven years experience and Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is adept in the full scope of anesthesiology services with subspecialty training in pediatrics.

Dr. Gloersen received his bachelor’s degree studying chemistry and biology from Washington College. He achieved his medical degree from the University Kansas School of Medicine. He then was an intern and resident in general surgery for two years followed by a year of practice in emergency medicine. His residency in anesthesiology was completed at the University of Kansas in 1989. He was privileged to have gained subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesiology, under the tutelage of a nationally distinguished pediatric heart program, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

After nearly twenty years of practice with Baptist Health Systems of Jacksonville, Florida, in 2007 Dr. Gloersen chose to join rank with Dr. Spengeman and share her ardor for the delivery of the highest quality healthcare at CenterONE. Dr. Reiman, a long time colleague of eighteen years, joined in 2008. The three physicians convey a unique compliment of ability and expertise permitting Excel Anesthesia Consultants to provide superior and distinctive anesthesia care to our patients experiencing ambulatory surgery at CenterONE.

When Dr. Gloersen is not at CenterONE he can usually be found at the end of his rope; either seeking the thrill of speed or capering with his adult children, aiming to stay young and abiding at heart.
